Uncertainty, testing days to get over, we tend to feel blue
though this looks much safer than what is happening a few yards away..
We get Panicky for so much Gloominess around.,
A Self-quarantine is all about like A 'Safe House' we will be
with our very own, we call them our loved ones, on any other day Its time to
overcome a notion that we don't give time to each other due to the everlasting
pre-schedules in careers & goals etc., Now We are finally there but
only in a Structural form & not willing to let loose our minds from a
devastating chaos a fiction movie kind of images we witnessed in such quick
time outside the house, i.e just few meters away from what we call a safe self
quarantine..
Quarantine is also a tricky one, for all those who live/ like/
love the world of isolation; they'll feel blessed & grateful.
Unless my dear friends, this word ‘Quarantine’ will not become
another nightmarish term, as dreadful as Corona.
We only hope & Pray that the Human Kind just remain in
numbers, but definitely not like as an Evaporating smoke & nothing
else.
How is our rich Indian culture coping with this? There is no
better time for man to remind himself of an English word – ‘Introspection’.
Corona made the world get up and take note. It won’t need that ‘hype’ anymore,
as in such modern… oh sorry… ultra-modern days, Corona is making everyone run
helter-skelter. It not only brought the aeroplanes down, but also the high
flying tycoons down to earth, our Motherland. I am sure if not anyone, a mother
would be heaving a sign of relief seeing her family sit and eat together the
food she has been cooking forever!
Across the globe, we were only surviving under a strong ‘hype’.
Countries, instead of ruling their respective voters only focused on featuring
themselves before prefixed cameras, speak out of scripted pages on how their
cash-rich products or infrastructure is one-of-a-kind in our times, thus
projecting to the eager looking rest of the globe that “if not for inventing
this, the world wouldn’t have survived…” Blah blah blah!
Media has a role; it goes crazy; UN is ready with a pre-prepared
vote of thanks. Self-declared entrepreneurs donning expensive suits are on
front pages of world’s best magazines. Few more nations follow suit to compel
the world to notice their ‘good for nothing’ (oops!), good for ‘only bigwigs’
inventions.
In such a circus, China had different ideas. There is something
about China; it spends more time in laboratories than homes. China’s hunger to
call themselves a super power is never satiated; that’s different pedestal
altogether!
The world has witnessed a lot of viruses in the past and made
some into household names. Of course, countries feared them, but by the time
Corona arrived, someone reminded a corporate success mantra called ‘Updated
Version’.
Well, Corona definitely surpasses every previous (recorded)
damage, and the best part is, (sorry worst part is) Corona is here to settle
down, but it just hates humans to see in its neighbourhood, I suppose.
So, now when the world is under lockdown, the never ending issue
based headlines – (read) Nationalism, Uniformity, Reservations, Racism,
Terrorism, Migration, Political War or Legacies, Retirement plans aka benefits
– nothing seem relevant. Sit at home or hide inside; save your lives. Coming
out of the house is a crime today. Well done, Corona.
