I woke up with you in me
Like every day

I woke up with a smile
Wrapped in thoughts of yesterday
Like every day

I woke up, wanting to sleep again
Smell you a little more

I woke up with my lips beginning to pray
That ours be a story we read together

We were on different chapters today
Unlike every day

I didn’t question why
I just didn’t say a prayer today
I could turn back my pages

Or ask of yours to be changed
But I would rather give away my prayer to you
And not pray today
